Product Notes

Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Syrah is a captivating New Zealand wine, held in high esteem for its aromatic complexity and depth. It seduces the senses with hints of black plum, cracked pepper, and earthy undertones. The palate is graced by rich, concentrated fruit flavours, seamlessly entwined with notes of spice, cocoa, and tobacco, elevated by firm tannins and vibrant acidity. From the prestigious Hawke's Bay region, this Syrah eloquently showcases the potential and sophistication of this varietal in the Gimblett Gravels area. It's an outstanding choice guaranteed to enchant seasoned wine connoisseurs and casual sippers alike.

Tasting Notes

The 2018 Syrah has a deep and youthful vibrant crimson colour. Wild raspberry, blueberry, cracked pepper and hints of vanilla bean on the nose. Powerful and balanced ripe tannins give the wine great savoury structure. Oak plays a supporting role; the wine leads with a pure fruit expression. This purity, combined with refreshing natural acidity, make for excellent ageing potential.
