The most unique feature of Walter Hansel is that no one works full time at the winery. Instead, owner Stephen Hansel enlists the help of his vineyard manager and crew whenever he needs an extra pair of hands. By participating in growing, harvesting, winemaking and bottling, the vineyard team gets a better sense of how important vineyard practices are to the overall quality of the finished wines. The result? Wines that are made in the vineyard, rather than the winery. Their selection of estate-grown Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays are Burgundian in style, with an incredible opulence and richness. We are delighted to have received a small allocation of these highly sought-after wines.
