Swiss winemaker J.-C. Martin and his South African wife Carolyn bought the property in 2002, planting the vineyards in virgin soil. They have transformed this lovely spot into a dynamic wine estate, renowned for its wines and the tasting room hospitality.

The winery sits comfortably on the edge of a dam, surrounded by fynbos gardens and sloping vineyards, looking out toward the Babylon Toren mountain. Conservation is important to the family, and you can organize a walk through the vineyards with a staff member who will point out the indigenous plants and birdlife, as well as the different types of grapes that have been planted.
