About the Winery

Graham Beck

Established in 1983 by the charismatic Graham Beck, the Graham Beck winery is located in the heart of South Africa's prestigious Western Cape. With a strong dedication to quality and sustainability, the winery is famous for producing world-class wines that have earned recognition and numerous awards globally.

The wine estate expands over 1,300 hectares of lush vineyards, nestled amid the picturesque mountains of Robertson. Using the ideal soil conditions and micro-climate, Graham Beck has perfected the cultivation of a vast array of wine grape variants. Famous for its posh sparkling wines, particularly the Méthode Cap Classique, and a delectable selection of still fine wines, Graham Beck Winery has certainly established a commendable reputation in the world of wines.

Beyond its landscape and wine quality, the winery has also received lautions for its sustainable farming practices and conservation initiatives. Notably, Graham Beck is amongst the few wineries to rigorously use biodynamic principles to maintain and improve soil and plant health: an approach that certainly contributes to the quality of their wines.

The winery continues to enhance its standards, following the guidance of viticulturalist and cellarmaster, Pieter Ferreira, or as locals lovingly call him, "Bubbles Ferreira". His expertise and vision have led to the creation of wines that are not only remarkable in taste, but also have a distinctive identity and soul.

Visitors are warmly welcomed to the estate to experience wine tastings, vineyard tours, and savouring exquisite local cuisine at their restaurant. The Tasting Room is an inviting destination where you can immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Graham Beck wines in a relaxed, beautiful atmosphere.

Despite the loss of its founder in 2010, Graham Beck Winery carries on his passion and legacy, continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation and excellence in winemaking. The taste and quality of this estates wine truly embody the saying, "great wine is a story of a place, a time and the people. Likely, no other South African winery captures this sentiment quite like Graham Beck.
