Product Notes

Marimar Estate La Masia Chardonnay is a resplendent, regal Californian wine hailing from the renowned Russian River Valley. It greets the nose with enchanting aromas of stone fruit and floral tones, cascading into indulgent layers of peach, honey, and toasted almond. Gracefully aged in French oak barrels, this Chardonnay boasts an alluring creaminess, balanced perfectly with its distinct, zesty acidity. Every sip unveils lingering notes of vanilla and spice, indicative of exceptional viticulture and wine-making expertise. This wine is a splendid pairing for seafood and poultry, or simply delightful when savoured on its own. It's a true gem amongst Californian Chardonnays.

Tasting Notes

The intense nose is delicate and very focused, with aromas of star jasmine and white peach, nicely framed with the elegant oak that contributes notes of hazelnut. The palate is rich and savory yet crisp and mouthfilling, reminiscent of baked apple and lemon custard. The finsih is long and perfectly balanced

About the Winery

Marimar Estate

Situated gracefully among green rolling hills of Sonoma County, California, Marimar Estate winery stands as an epitome of world-class viticulture. It aptly showcases the harmonious marriage of old-world Spanish traditions with new-world American innovation and spirit.

Although the estate covers over 30 acres, more than half is dedicated solely to the cultivation of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines. Each vine is cleverly planted, employing the European high-density concept which stresses the vine, enhancing the character and complexity of the wine produced.

Marimar Torres, the brain behind the estate left no stone unturned in ensuring the preservation and expression of terroir in each bottle. She follows organic farming methods and integrates biodynamic practices to ensure that the vineyard stays true to its essence. A natural evolution from organic farming, the idea of biodynamics respects every living being that has a role to play in the vineyard's ecosystem.

Another highlight of the vineyard is its pioneering use of indigenous yeast in fermentation for its Chardonnay, bolstering the wine's authenticity and similarity to its European counterparts.

The tasting room at the Marimar Estate is a delight in itself. The spacious outdoors overlooking the vineyard offer the most exclusive experience to its visitors. The estate conducts guided tours including a taste of their most exquisite wines, complemented by scrumptious local cuisine.

It's worth noting, that Marimar Estate has been a trailblazer in advocating the potential of women in the field of winemaking- a fact that reflects brightly in the perfection that each bottle from the estate emanates.

Marimar Estate winery is indeed, a beautiful blend of tradition, innovation, passion and indispensable quest for perfection that is evident in its breath-taking vineyard, its sustainable farming practices; and without a doubt - its exceptional wine.
