Tasting Note

The nose reveals a fragrant sweet dark berry, blueberry, spice, mushroom, and a hint of leather. The palate is full bodied with sweet dark cherries, spice, dried herb and smoky oak. Concentrated with bright acidity, silky fine texture and a very long mineral finish.

From Central Otago's Bannockburn region emerges the robust yet elegant Akarua Pinot Noir. This wine vividly encapsulates the region's cool climate and unique soil. Exuding a rich ruby hue, it enlivens the senses with a bouquet of red cherries, wild thyme and subtle oak undertones. On the palate, it reveals beautifully balanced tannins, dark fruit flavours and a hint of spice. An enticingly long finish with traces of minerality attest to its Bannockburn origin. Akarua Pinot Noir is an excellent embodiment of New Zealand's wine craftsmanship, perfect to savour alone or matched with fine cuisines.
