Tasting Note

As always this is quite an extreme wine with lots of flavour and some richness, cut by driving acidity. The nose is so complex and interesting: stone fruit and citrus with an exotic accent. The palate is also marvellously complex.

Product Notes

Alheit Vineyards' Hemelrand Vine Garden wine personifies exquisite craftsmanship. This South African wine embodies a delightful fusion of Roussanne, Chenin Blanc, Verdelho, and Chardonnay. Its expressive aroma alternates between tropical and stone fruits, with a subtle herbal undertone. The tasting offers a complex palette with hints of peach, apricot, and crisp apple. Enhanced by refreshing acidity, it finishes with a silky, smooth texture. This wine justly represents the vineyard's dedication to employing traditional wine-making methods, deserving recognitions beyond its Western Cape origins. A beautiful accompaniment to a variety of dishes, each glass is indeed a toast to sophistication.
