About the Winery

Antinori Badia a Passignano

Located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, the Antinori Badia a Passignano winery is a captivating blend of history, culture and viticulture. Nestled amongst the idyllic, undulating landscapes of Tuscany, this family-owned vineyard is a symbol of 26 generations of tradition and a passion for wine-making.

The sprawling estate is centred around the ancient abbey of Badia a Passignano that dates back to 890 AD. The abbey, surrounded by dynamic vineyards stands, as a proud testament to the Antinori family's commitment to preserving the rich past while pioneering new wine-making methods. Under the monastic calm of the abbey, lies a state-of-the-art wine production facility where modern technology meets ancient wisdom.

The Badia a Passignano winery is known for its uncompromising focus on quality and sustainability. The vineyard is precisely managed to mirror the natural ecosystem, preserving the integrity of the land. In addition, quality grapes such as the Sangiovese varietal, are handpicked and gently encoded in the estate's award-winning wines: the Gran Selezione and the Badia a Passignano Riserva.

However, it isn’t just the wines that enchant, but the immersive experience that the estate provides; from guided tours through the vineyards and the ancient cellars, to wine tasting experiences that introduce visitors to the art and complexity of wine, and finally, to an authentic Italian meal at their Michelin-star restaurant, Osteria di Passignano.

No visit to the Tuscan region is complete without savoring a glass of Antinori Badia a Passignano wine? Fully experience the Italian ‘la dolce vita’ amidst the verdant vineyards, savouring the tastes that are truly reflective of the rich Tuscan terroir.
