Product Notes

Antinori Marchese Antinori Vinsanto del Chianti Classico is an esteemed Italian dessert wine. Crafted in the heart of Tuscany, it boasts a delightful amber hue with an enticing aroma of dried fruits, honey, and spices. On the palate, it offers a harmonious balance between sweetness and acidity, oozing flavours of caramel, figs, and toasted almonds. It is the result of a meticulous vinification process using white Tuscan grape varieties, predominantly Trebbiano and Malvasia, which have been carefully dried and aged in traditional caratelli barrels. This wine is a beautiful treat to accompany desserts or to sip independently.

Tasting Notes

The wine is a deep amber in color with golden highlights. On the nose, the sweet notes of dried fruit, hazelnuts, chestnuts and honey are enriched by additional aromas of honey. The palate is full-bodied, honeyed, and invigorated by a vibrant vein of acidity.

About the Winery

Antinori

Nestled in the heart of Tuscany, the Antinori winery is one of Italy's oldest and most respected wine-making establishments. The family behind the Antinori name has been crafting fine wines for over six centuries, streaking an impressive lineage that spans 26 generations.

The Antinori winery's offerings showcase the perfect blend of tradition and modernism. Combining centuries-old wine-growing techniques with innovative flavours to produce high-quality, distinctive wines. Among the winery's vast portfolio, the 'Tignanello' and 'Solaia' are undoubtedly the most iconic, being credited for ushering in the "Super Tuscan" wine movement in the 1970s.

However, the Antinori family’s commitment to quality extends beyond the realm of wine. Taking great care to preserve the beautiful landscapes from which their grapes are harvested. Their sustainability efforts have garnered global recognition, setting a high standard for eco-conscious wine production.

The innovation central to Antinori extends to architecture too. The family’s Chianti Classico winery, completed in 2012, is a marvel of modern design. Effortlessly integrating into the surrounding landscape, it embodies the winery's commitment to sustainability and harmony with nature.
