Product Notes

Balnaves The Tally Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is an exceptional Australian wine from the Coonawarra region. Displaying a deep, richly pigmented hue, the wine exudes inviting aromas of black cherries, cedar, and a hint of mint. The palate is rewarded with robust flavours of ripe blackcurrant and dark chocolate, all underpinned by an elegant, structured tannin backbone. With plenty of depth and complexity, this enchanting wine is crafted to age gracefully and offers a lengthy, savoury finish. A perfect addition to any discerning wine connoisseur's cellar, this wine encapsulates the supreme expression of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon.

About the Winery

Balnaves

At the heart of Australia's famed Coonawarra wine region, the Balnaves family, led by Doug Balnaves, has been producing exquisite wines since 1975. Renowned for its premium reds, Balnaves Winery has, over time, meticulously cultivated 47 hectares of vineyards to create Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay of superior quality.

The Chardonnay, too, manifests a distinct character of stonefruit and citrus flavours underpinned by creative use of oak and natural fermentation.

Located in a contemporary Australian architectural structure with timber and terracotta details, the cellar door offers a stunning view over the vineyard and the ornamental lake. This idyllic setting enhances the tastebuds as one savours a sip of their traditional method sparkling wine or explores the rich notes of the deep, full-bodied The Blend. It is the perfect place for wine enthusiasts seeking a distinctive and memorable experience.

In addition, Balnaves Winery has been awarded several national and international accolades that stands as a testament to their dedication to quality. The family's ethos of maintaining environmental sustainability while producing aesthetically pleasing wines has led to a loyal fan base and gathered much-deserved recognition, among these accolades is the prestigious James Halliday’s Wine Companion Winery of the Year in 2008.
