Product Notes

Bodegas Krontiras Doña Silvina Fresh Malbec Organico is a standout Argentinian wine, priding itself on organic and biodynamic practices. This exuberant Malbec boasts a youthful and vibrant profile. Its bold ruby colour is inviting, with fresh aromas of juicy red fruits, violets, and a hint of earthiness. This charming Malbec offers light acidity and mild tannins, allowing the delightful fruit flavours to shine through. With an ending note of delectable spiciness, it offers an enticing complexity. Pair it with robust meats for an unforgettable dining experience. A beautifully crafted wine that embodies the spirit of its homeland.

Tasting Notes

An innovative and unique no oak 100% Malbec to be served cold at 10-12°C. It is made with the organic and biodynamic grapes from our Villa Seca, Maipu vineyard handpicked late in February or early in March and gone through a Double selection (cluster and grape) by hand. The early harvest, the fermentation with wild yeast create a fruity and fresh wine of intense color, red flower and fresh plum aromas, leading through its soft tannins to a smooth finish.

About the Winery

Bodegas Krontiras

Bodegas Krontiras is one of Argentina's most distinguished wineries nestled in the heart of Mendoza, a region recognised internationally for its outstanding production of wine. The vineyard's noble ancestry traces back to Greek entrepreneur Konstantinos Krontiras and his wife, distinguished Argentinean architect Silvina Krontiras.

The vision behind the creation of Bodegas Krontiras was to cultivate wines that reflect the richness of the Argentinean terroir while embodying a sustainable, biodynamic philosophy. The vineyards stretch across 21 hectares of fertile land, capturing the essence of Mendoza's vibrant sun and pure subterranean waters in every grape. Stepping foot into this winery is a true testament not just to the art of wine-making, but also the harmonious balance between man and nature.

In the pursuit of unrivalalled quality, Bodegas Krontiras follows Demeter certified biodynamic farming principles. This approach relies on natural rhythms and cycles, foregoes the use of synthetic pesticides, and fosters biodiversity in the vineyard; making Bodegas Krontiras an island of life in contrast to mono-culture wine growing.

The winery is also home to an awe-inspiring cellar, a construction of sun-dried brick, estaca wood and natural stone. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the wine-making process adheres to an uncompromising standard of excellence. Here, everything from fermentation to bottling, is done with meticulous attention to detail.

In terms of the wine, Bodegas Krontiras is best known for its resplendent Malbec and vibrant Cabernet Sauvignon, wines which exhibit a complexity flavour profile that truly stands out among their peers. These vintages exemplify the marriage between traditional European method and Argentinean passion, resulting in a wine that is both robust and harmonious in nature.

In conclusion, Bodegas Krontiras is not just a winery, it’s a statement of commitment to the land which gives it life,; it's a destination where you can imbibe the heart of Argentina with each sip.
