Tasting Note

The 2023 Block 2 Chardonnay is toasty and tropical, with a skein of fleshy acidity within the folds of the fruit. This is texturally wide, with white pineapple, peach, hay and caper brine, and framed by toasty oak. There is lime zest and toasted nuts. The wine is, at this stage, a wine of parts, and it feels to me as if it will be a more cohesive proposition in a year's time. It's very ripe but leafy too. - Erin Larkin, Robert Parker Wine Advocate

Product Notes

Felton Road Block 2 Chardonnay is an impeccable New Zealand white wine originating from a biodynamic, dry-farmed dish-shaped vineyard in Central Otago. This resplendent wine mesmerizes with persistent flavours of toasted almond, citrus, and honeysuckle. A hint of minerality augments the harmonious balance between its exciting freshness and well-rounded body. The restrained use of oak allows the unique Bannockburn terroir to shine through, making it a truly expressive Chardonnay. Ideal for savouring alone, it pairs excellently with seafood. Complex, elegant, yet uncomplicated, this wine offers a delightful drinking experience that delicately lingers in memory.
