Tasting Note

A beautifully balanced example of white Rioja that straddles the styles of the old and the new. Vibrant citrussy Viura is blended with the more weighty Malvasia and the brief barrel maturation adds a honeyed roundness to the crisp lemony fruit. Beautiful golden yellow colour with bright lemon-tinted reflections. Elegant, combining hints of flowers, fruits and hazelnuts. Dry, with just enough acidity to make it fresh and lively with a structured and tasty finish of ripe fruit.

Product Notes

Bodegas Luis Cañas Rioja Blanco Viñas Viejas is a Spanish white wine hailing from the esteemed region of Rioja. This mature Viura-Malvasia blend is elegantly aged, producing an exquisite bouquet of floral, citrus, and ripe stone fruit aromas. Subtle hints of vanilla and toast are revealed on the palate, a testament to its prolonged oak barrel maturation. With its vibrant acidity and persistent finish, it's a wine that boasts impressive complexity. A product of an esteemed 4th generation family winery, this Rioja Blanco is a refined demonstration of Spanish wine craftsmanship. Enjoy cool to compliment summer dishes.
