Aged for two years in oak barrels, it possesses a ruby colour with imprints of bright garnet. It unveils flavours of dark fruits and delicate spices, artfully layered with hints of vanilla. Nestled in the heart of Spain’s prestigious Rioja wine region, Bodegas Urbina is a revered beacon of viniculture that boasts over four generations of expertise in cultivating the finest and most luxurious Spanish wines. The estate, situated near the old town of Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón. rests on the western edge of the Rioja region. Spanning 75 hectares, this family-owned winery utilises a blend of traditional and modern viticulture techniques to create exceptionally balanced and sumptuous wines, with their favourite grapes being the Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo and Viura. One of the most striking features of Bodegas Urbina is their ageing process, wines are aged in French or American oak barrels for up to 24 months, followed by an additional refinement period in the bottle.
