Product Notes

Cain Vineyard & Winery Five wine emanates from the exquisite landscapes of Napa Valley, California. The Five is a complex blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot. This esteemed wine graciously mirrors the terrior's ineffable character. Its ravishing aromas of ripe, dark cherries, plum, and liquorice, escort a touch of earthy tones and underbrush, melting seamlessly on the palate. The exceptional ageing potential enhances the luxury feel and showcases velvety tannins leading to an enduring finish. An influential composition of Five delivers an enchanting symphony of flavours, making it an ideal companion for luscious steak dinners.

Tasting Notes

With air notes of gently spiced vanilla pod, cassis, sweet tobacco and bay leaf emerge. As more air gets to the wine the aromas seem to freshen and focus, with redcurrant and bright black berries to the fore. On the palate the immediate impression is one of finesse and fine boned structure. A true mineral element underpins the still young flavours of briar, wild strawberry and cassis. There is more intensity and complexity here than the Concept, but also more deftness and finesse. Long, lithe and supple. A wine that calls you back time and again. Delicious!
