Tasting Note

In 2017, Stellenbosch formed the heart of our winemaking, with Fijnbosch contributing an intense core of citrus, orange blossom, toasty brioche, and peach. From Robertson, the E. Bruwer vineyard enriched the blend with ripe peach and apricot, delivering a full, rounded mouthfeel. Kaaimansgat and Vleiplaas completed the composition, the former adding defining minerality to the back palate, while the latter introduced a subtle herbal note and vibrant acidity, creating a Chardonnay of refreshing precision and elegant balance.

Product Notes

Capensis Chardonnay is a highly distinctive South African wine, renowned for its profound elegance and complex flavours. With a balanced texture, this bright, gold-hued wine offers intense aromas of citrus, green apple and almond. It elegantly combines opulent and robust fruit flavours with oak-derived hints of vanilla and spice. The indulgent full-bodied palate is complemented by a delicate acidity, culminating in an exceptionally long finish. Crafted from selected vineyards located in the Western Cape, Capensis Chardonnay captivates with its layered sophistication, a testament to South Africa's extraordinary terroir. An absolute must for white wine connoisseurs.
