Product Notes

Domaine de Baronarques is an exquisite wine, made in the heart of the Languedoc region in Southern France. It captivates the palate with a complex mix of rich, velvety flavours, blossoming with hints of ripe blackcurrant, sweet spices and elegant oak undertones. This blend of seven grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, lends the wine perfect balance and structure - a testament to the domain's superb savoir-faire. Its opulent texture and long, sophisticated finish make it a perfect accompaniment for refined cuisines. It's decidedly a wine of high calibre, every sip embodying the brilliantly sunny and ancient terroir it hails from.

Tasting Notes

An attractive, dense red with a garnet tint. The nose opens on fragrant, juicy, fresh fruit notes. With airing, subtle spice and chocolate aromas bring a certain succulence. After a fresh and well-structured attack, refined, silky tannins emerge on the full and dense mid-palate, while crushed blackcurrant, cocoa and liquorice flavours give the wine excellent aromatic length. The flavours linger on the remarkably long, harmonious and balanced finish.

About the Winery

Domaine de Baronarques

Nestled in the heart of the Languedoc region, Domaine de Baronarques is a distinguished winery that oozes sophistication and class. A world-renowned establishment, the winery is celebrated for its remarkable capability to produce phenomenal wines imbued with outstanding character and depth of flavour.

The winery's provenance is rather intriguing; once a part of a 17th-century monastery, it has been developed and cherished over centuries and came into the spotlight largely through the auspices of the renowned Rothschild family. Domaine de Baronarques boasts a colourful narrative that enhances the visitor experience along with enriching its prized bottlings.

The winery spans an impressive 118 hectares and every inch is laced with various grape-bearing vines. Among the varieties grown on the property are Bordeaux varietals such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc - alongside these stand the languedoc varieties like Syrah, Grenache, and Vermentino. The soil composition of the estate is crucial in giving Domaine de Baronarques its distinctive taste, as the unique blend of clay, limestone and sandstone provides an ideal setting for the growth of top-quality grapes.

Visitors are invited for an immersive experience in this serene setting. Daily tours and tastings allow connoisseurs to delve into the rich traditions of the winery and imbibe its delicate wines. The estate's grandeur is reflected not only in their buttery Chardonnays and robust reds, but also in the picturesque views of the vines that stretch out, seemingly endless, under the warm Mediterranean sun.

True to its heritage, Domaine de Baronarques continues to craft exquisite wines. With a perfect balance of modernity and tradition, wine-making here is an art form, one you're invited to experience and savour to the fullest.

As a beacon of gastronomical excellence, Domaine de Baronarques is not just a winery; it's a charming world in its own right, creating a luxurious escapade for the senses and the soul; that's their passion and commitment ever since.
