Product Notes

Domaine de Montille Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves is a resplendent French wine crafted in the historic vineyards of Burgundy. This elegant, full-bodied wine exhibits enticing floral scents accompanied by delicious notes of ripe, red fruit, notably cherries and raspberries. A subtle wisp of spicy oak enriches its complex taste. Upon the palate, it presents a harmonious blend of powerful flavours and delicate tannins, underlined by a remarkable freshness. Matured meticulously in French barrels, it gracefully unleashes its grandeur over time. This Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves asserts a luxurious, quintessentially Burgundian wine experience.

Tasting Notes

The 2018 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru comes from iron-rich clayey soils and contains two-thirds whole cluster this year. It has a lovely bouquet of red berry fruit laced with slate and bay leaf aromas, very well defined and absorbing the 25% new oak easily. The palate is well balanced with a mineral-rich entry, a fine bead of acidity and touches of brown spice sprinkled over the red fruit. The stony, terse finish indicates that it could age for longer than many will grant it.
