Product Notes

CVNE Contino Viña del Olivo is an exquisite Spanish wine, hailing from the prestigious Rioja region. This wine is a blend of mostly Tempranillo, yielding a deep ruby colour and a robust, rich flavour profile. The bouquet reveals notes of ripe red fruits, alongside hints of vanilla and spice, derived from oak barrel ageing. The palate uncovers layers of complex flavours, including blackberry, cherry, and plum entwined with elements of tobacco and leather. This full-bodied, structured wine exhibits excellent longevity and depth. It is a marvellous example of the classical winemaking tradition, and a testament to Spain’s excellent viticulture.

Tasting Notes

Ruby red with attractive youth, clear and medium-high tones. Very intense nose with an initial spicy touch that leads to blackberry and currant fruit and final evolution towards balsamic aromas such as aniseed, mint and licorice. The palate has good tannins for conservation and is broad and vinous, with an after taste of ripe fruit and cocoa tones
