Tasting Note

Deep ruby red in colour, this Chianti Classico Riserva has an intense aromatic profile of red cherry, raspberry and strawberry mingled with elegant notes of leather and cocoa. On the palate it is full-bodied and rich, with great structure, concentrated flavours and a refreshing backbone of acidity. The wine carries through onto a long, generous finish, with velvety tannins.

Product Notes

Dievole Novecento Chianti Classico Riserva is an exemplary Tuscan red. This Italian gem emanates earthy notes and spicy aromas of leather and tobacco, engulfed by a rich cherry flavour. Its intense ruby red hue teases the palate before an elegant, well-structured and pleasantly lingering taste ensues. Aged for 16 months in oak barrels, this complex Riserva blend showcases Sangiovese's characteristic acidity and tannic strength impeccably. The Italian sunshine presence offers a tantalising hint of sweetness. Combined with its velvety mouthfeel, the Novecento Chianti Classico Riserva is an irresistible partner to red meat dishes. An exquisite offering from the Dievole vineyards.
