About the Winery

Domaine de Montille

Nestled in the verdant heart of Burgundy, Domaine de Montille stands as one of the most prestigious wineries in the region. Spanning just over 20 hectares across several famed appellations such as Volnay and Puligny-Montrachet, this family-run estate is renowned for its exceptional portfolio of wines.

Established in the 17th century, Domaine de Montille has seen several generations of the Montille family preserve and refine their vinicultural craft. They are committed to producing wines of exemplary quality, their success in achieving this evident in the accolades bestowed upon their vintages.

At the core of the Domaine's ethos is an unwavering respect for the environment, the focus on biodynamic farming distinguishes Montille apart from many of its contemporaries. This holistic approach allows for the cultivation of grapes that reflect the true character of their terroir, resulting in wines that express a unique authenticity.

Every inch of the vineyard is meticulously managed, an effort reflected in the concentrated flavours found in their wines. Montille's wines display a level of complexity that entices both discerning oenophiles and amateur wine enthusiasts alike. Their reds are eloquent in their expression of the Pinot Noir grape, depicting full-bodied nuances and rich layers of flavour that mature beautifully over time. The whites are equally impressive, showcasing the Chardonnay grape in its most delicate, refined form.

The Domaine's cellars mirror the meticulousness of their vineyards, patiently ageing wines to perfection in carefully selected French oak barrels, Domaine de Montille is a remarkable entity, pairing centuries-old traditions with innovative techniques to offer world-class wines worthy of its esteemed heritage.
