Product Notes

Finca Decero Malbec is an exquisite Argentinian wine, crafted from handpicked grapes grown at high altitudes in the Remolinos Vineyard. This vibrant red wine seduces the palate with its rich plum and blackcurrant flavours, subtly enhanced with traces of spice and occasional herby notes. Underlying earthy tones with a hint of chocolate, combined with mature, silk-like tannins contribute to a beautifully balanced finish. Its complexity and elegant structure make it ideal to accompany hearty red meat dishes, like a scrumptious roast beef. This Malbec truly illustrates Finca Decero’s outstanding ability to create a pure, unadulterated expression of the terroir.

Tasting Notes

2018 Decero Malbec continues i n the style that characterises our Remolinos Vineyard displaying intense violet aromas over a core of red fruits with notes o f cherries and raspberries . Slightly richer in body than the previous vintage yet still very well balanced wine with fresh acidity, i t shows supple and elegant tannins that benefit from 1 4 months maturation i n French oak barrels .

About the Winery

Finca Decero

Nestled in the heart of the distinguished Argentine Malbec region, the Finca Decero Winery has fast cemented its reputation as one of the leading winemakers globally. Occupying an unassuming patch of land at an impressive 3500 feet in the Andes foothills, Finca Decero, literally translates to "the farm from scratch".

The winery garnered international attention due to its innovative approach to viticulture, combining time-honoured practices with modern techniques. One could argue that the secret of Decero's success lies in their ability to meticulously cultivate this once barren land into a flourishing vineyard. Their profound respect for the environment and attention to detail has culminated in the production of world-renowned wines, each bottle a testament to their commitment to craftsmanship.

Finca Decero's unique application of single-vineyard winemaking allows for an exceptional exploration of terroir in each micro-viticulture plot. It's not just about making wine. For them, it's about creating an individual expression of the land, encapsulating a true sense of place in every glass.

Guests fortunate enough to visit the winery will indulge in an array of hands-on experiences. From grape harvesting to personal wine blending classes alongside tasty local cuisine, visitors gain an authentic insight into the mind of a vintner (winemaker). Combining wine with the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains makes for an experience that's difficult to forget.

Celebrated for their Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, the quality of Finca Decero's wines is uncompromisable. The wines owe their distinct characters to the winery's mindful farming philosophy and hands on winemaking - resulting in vintages that beautifully intertwine the exotic complexity of Argentine terroir with a charming elegance.

Few vineyards could match Finca Decero's passion for crafting sublime and exquisite wines: it's a love story between man and grape. Able to turn the most casual drinker into a lifelong wine enthusiast, each sip is an evocative journey through Argentina's wine heritage.
