About the Winery

J. Rochioli Vineyard and Winery

Nestled in the verdant heart of California’s wine region, J. Rochioli Vineyard and Winery, seems like a vision brought to life from the pages of an elegant travel book. Renowned as a purveyor of the finest quality wines, it is a testament to the art of winemaking. Their exquisite blends have been praised the World over and are considered by oenophiles and critics alike to be amongst the most captivating for their rich, earthy flavours and beautifully balanced notes.

The origins of the Rochioli Vineyard and Winery, found deep in Sonoma County’s esteemed Russian River Valley, stems back to 1959 when Joe Rochioli Jr took over his parents’ land. Endowed with a unique understanding of the soil and microclimates, Joe was soon cultivating luscious green vines heavy with plump grapes. By following his intuition, he succeeded in revolutionising the winemaking scene forever.

Over time, the vineyard has been separated into 37 distinctive sites, determined according to the uniqueness of the soil and the resultant flavours of the grape, each bottled under the J. Rochioli label. Today, the vineyard produces some of America’s most envied Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs. Offering a striking combination of quality and consistency, J. Rochioli wines stand out due to their unparalleled levels of complexity and distinctive character.

A visit to J. Rochioli Vineyard and Winery is akin to a pilgrimage for connoisseurs of fine wine. Here, visitors indulge in tours of the vineyard and wine tastings; as they witness the passion and dedication inherent in each glass. From planting to harvesting to bottling, the process is guided by tradition, yet spiced, with innovation.

Some may argue that a bottle of J. Rochioli wine is more than mere beverage. It’s an embodiment of love for viticulture, and a tangible lesson in the seductive power of winemaking done with heart.
