Tasting Note

Duo is brilliant ruby-red in colour. On the nose, it shows aromas of ripe red berries and mineral notes, reminiscent of volcanic iron. The palate is long and refined, with a lingering, mineral-driven finish. The wine is tight, pure, sinewy and vibrant.

Product Notes

The Mecori Duo Etna Rosso is a captivating Sicilian wine, revered for its robust character and sumptuously rich flavours. It boasts a vibrant ruby hue, a nose dominated by delightful notes of red fruits, wild berries, herbs, and a hint of smoky minerality, the latter attributable to the volcanic soils of Mount Etna. On the palate, it presents balanced tannins and acidity, offering a wonderfully harmonious finish. Vinted from indigenous Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes, this exceptional wine effortlessly embodies the distinctive charm of Sicilian winemaking. A perfect companion to hearty meat dishes or mature cheeses.
