Product Notes

Renowned for its unique aromatic profile, Waterford Estate's Kevin Arnold Shiraz tantalises with hints of dark fruit, warm spices and smoky undertones. This South African wine exhibits a lusciously complex character. As the full-bodied depth unfurls, it presents layers of ripe blackberries, plum, cracked pepper and chocolate, framed with balanced tannins. The French oak adds a touch of vanilla, ensuring a poised finish. A bottle that bespeaks masterful winemaking, the Kevin Arnold Shiraz is an ode to the unity of power and elegance. It's a superb representation of Stellenbosch's terroir, appreciated by discerning connoisseurs and novice wine-lovers alike.

Tasting Notes

The wine shows aromatics of delicate violets, dark plum fruits and liquorice notes which has layered subtle notes of earthiness and leather spice, brought in by the Mourvedre component. The palate follows the aromatics of the nose with similar violet and earthy spice notes. The wine shows generosity for a vintage which is known for more elegant and finely textured wines. The tannins presented are soft and granular with a fruit-forward finish due to the use of strictly older barrels for ageing
