Tasting Note

Saturated medium ruby. Like a coulis of black fruits on the nose, complicated by suggestions of coffee, licorice and vanilla. Dense and chewy in the mouth, but with lovely freshness framing and lifting the crunchy black cherry, blackcurrant, licorice and mineral flavours. Finishes with a firm spine of rising tannins and some youthful austerity. Comes across as denser and longer than the regular Grand Village cuvee. - Ian d'Agata, Vinous
