Product Notes

Henschke's The Wheelwright Eden Valley Shiraz, an inspiring Australian wine, is a testament to refined viniculture. This full-bodied, robust red presents a delightful palate, featuring rich layers of intense cherry and dark plum, underscored by hints of spice and chocolate. Its intense purple hue hints at the depth of flavour, while beautiful lingering tannins round out the finish. Expertly crafted in South Australia, its bio-dynamic cultivation process lends to its unique characteristics. The nose is aromatic, cascading with notes of wild berries, liquorice and a whisper of aromatic herbs. Perfect for a special occasion, it embodies unpretentious sophistication.

Tasting Notes

Medium garnet with crimson hues. Lifted aromas of red plum, red currant, blue and black berries, rose hip and black pepper, with notes of bay leaf, sage, crushed flowering herbs, anise and hints of cedar. The palate is rich and plush, deep and concentrated with layers of spicy red cherry and red currant, interwoven with anise and vanilla. Balanced acidity gives freshness and poise, finishing with elegant, velvety fine-grained tannins for a long fruit-driven finish.
