The wine from the Kloof Vineyard is totally unique to South Africa. Pure fruit (soft white pear and bright limey citrus) razor sharp acidity and well-judged oak result in a wine that is precise, intricate yet layered, focussed and fine with significant ageing potential. It has a beautiful oyster shell minerality, a slight saline note, a long finish and good weight on the back palate.

Iona Kloof Chardonnay is an elegant South African white wine from the cool Elgin Valley, where high vineyards and Atlantic breezes encourage slow ripening and fresh, expressive flavours. It offers inviting notes of citrus, green apple and white peach, complemented by delicate hints of toasted nuts and spice. The palate is balanced and textured, with bright acidity lending energy and a long, refined finish. Subtle oak influence adds depth without overwhelming the fruit. Enjoy it lightly chilled alongside roast chicken, grilled fish, creamy pasta or soft cheeses. It is equally appealing on its own for a relaxed evening with friends.
