About the Winery

Marqués de Cáceres

Marqués de Cáceres is a pioneering winery tucked in the heart of Spain's Rioja Alta region. Established in 1970, it represents a revolutionary presence in the vineyards that have unfailingly maintained traditional ways of viticulture and winemaking.

The winery is named after the Marquis of Cáceres, Juan Nogueira, a 19th-century family ancestor who was a supporter of the Spanish royal dynasty. The winery is infused with history; the family's wine-making traditions dating back five generations. Today, the winery is helmed by the Forner family, whose dedication to producing high-quality wines is evident in the love, care, and expertise they pour into every bottle.

Stretching across more than 400 hectares of prime vineyard land, Marqués de Cáceres marries age-old traditions with modern techniques. Championing Tempranillo, a prominent grape, they consistently produce remarkable red wines that embody the classic, full-bodied style of Rioja region. The Gran Reserva and Reserva stand as testament to their quality, aged in French Oak and offering unparalleled elegance,, balanced complexity, and full-bodied fruit arrays.

In addition to their reds, they offer an exquisite range of whites and rosés. The Marqués de Cáceres Verdejo, made from 100% Verdejo grapes, offers a crisp and aromatic affair, while their rosés provide a delightful taste that encapsulates a summer's day.

The combination of tradition, innovation and passion is what defines Marqués de Cáceres. Each bottle they produce communicates not just the beauty of their vineyards or expressivity of their grapes but a piece of their history and heart. This Spanish winery is more than just a venue for producing fine wines, it's a symbol of heritage, a bearer of tradition, and a constant quest for perfection in viticulture and wine-making.
