Tasting Note
Dark violet in color, and deep. On the nose, it’s a Syrah with great varietal typicity, showing its coastal origin with lots of complexity: elegant notes of pepper, wet earth, meat, spices, and chocolate, with subtle violet notes. On the palate, it’s characterized by its precision and elegance, with smooth tannins and great depth with flavors that are reminiscent of black fruit with iodized notes. An intense, elegant finish.
Product Notes
Matetic Vineyards Syrah wine is a magnificent Chilean creation, favoured for its elegant and unusual character. Deeply flavoured, the palate presents a vibrant mix of blackberries, plums, and soft spice notes. The oak presence, nurtured by 18 months in French barrels, complements its rich, dark fruit undertones. This wine displays an excellent balance of acidity and tannins, providing a delightful smooth texture and a lengthy finish. Organic and biodynamic farming practises are integrated into its making, enhancing its delicate complexity. An ideal accompaniment for hearty meat dishes, this Syrah is a delightful exemplification of the fertile San Antonio Valley terroir.
