Pio Cesare Barbaresco presents rich, age-worthy depths that honour its prestigious heritage. Cultivated from vineyards in the renowned Barbaresco area of Italy's Piedmont region, this wine boasts an elegant nose of red fruits, violets and spices. The palate follows, exuding cherry and liquorice notes, layered with a distinct minerality. Harmoniously balanced, it provides a spectrum of robust tannins and high acidity, softened by a velvety mouthfeel. Maturing respectfully in oak barrels extends a long, smooth finish, makings this Barbaresco's personality as commanding as it is charming. A truly exquisite wine to accompany the finest cuisine.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of dried orange, berry and hazelnut with hints of dried flowers. Tar, too. Full-bodied with chewy tannins and a juicy finish. The tannins are very fine and integrated. Chewy and encompassing flow across the palate. Very structured.
