Product Notes

Tenute Lunelli's Tenuta Castelbuono Ziggurat wine is a celebration of traditional Italian viticulture, emanating from vineyards in the picturesque Umbria region. This stellar ruby-red wine is comprised predominantly of Sangiovese and Sagrantino grapes, offering fascinating complexity. On the nose, it introduces an enchanting blend of rich black forest fruits and invigorating spices. One sip reveals an alluring, well-structured palate with magnificent depth, presenting layers of luscious cherries, dark berries, and a hint of earthy minerals. Rounded off with balanced tannins and a lingering, gratifying finish, it's a fantastic choice for a sophisticated indulgence or complement to hearty meals.

Tasting Notes

A combination of the power of Sagrantino and the elegance of Sangiovese, the Montefalco Rosso from Tenuta Castelbuono, which is certified as organic, expresses all the charm of a region with an age-old winemaking tradition. A brilliant ruby red in colour. It immediately strikes one with the elegance and complexity of its broad aromas of cherries and cloves, which give way to balm-like tones. The same elegance is to be found on the palate: a wine of splendid balance, which is mouth-filling and remarkably powerful, yet very fresh. It is already extremely enjoyable, but will also undoubtedly benefit from a little ageing.
