Product Notes

Murrieta's Well Whip White wine is a compelling blend from Wente Vineyards, situated in the heart of California's Livermore Valley. Bright and refreshing, it meticulously merges various grape varieties, producing an exquisite bouquet of honeysuckle, pear, and ripe melon aromas. A wine of balance and skill, it carries enticing flavours of peach, honey and lime zest, complemented splendidly with its buttery undertone and a crisp mineral finish. This elegant wine is a delightful accompaniment to food or savoured singularly. Wente Vineyards have indeed 'whipped' up a tantalising expression of their terroir with this splendid white blend.

Tasting Notes

The Whip each vintage, we look to deliver a wine with aromatic appeal that provides a textured and delicious palate, and has the presence and crisp finish to be an excellent food wine. We are fortunate to grow several aromatic white varietals on our estate, such as Viognier and Muscat Canelli, that provide beautiful fruit and floral expressions. We use those varietals and others to accentuate the rich and full palate provided by our estate Chardonnay and Semillon enhanced by the wonderful natural acidity of our Sauvignon Blanc. This helps us deliver a complete wine that tells the story of our estate each and every vintage

About the Winery

Wente Vineyards

Nestled on a hillside in the charming town of Livermore Valley in California, USA, stands the magnificent Wente Vineyards winery. Famed for its enticing range of wines and remarkable wine-tasting experiences, this winery has garnered a loyal following of aficionados over its 136-year history.

A family-owned and operated business, the longevity of Wente Vineyards is indeed impressive. It was founded by C.H. Wente in 1883 and has since been passed down to the fifth generation of the Wente family. The key to its unwavering success lies in its commitment to tradition and quality. Each bottle of Wente wine is said to embody the passion and dedication of the family.

Visitors are often struck by the sheer beauty of the vineyard. Spread across 2,000 acres of land; it boasts lush vineyards capturing a sense of tranquillity and charm that is unique to this region. The beauty of Wente is not only seen in its vineyards but also tasted in its wines. Expertly-crafted, Wente’s wines are rich in flavour and depth, reflecting the unique terroir.

One of its flagship offerings, The Wente Vineyards 2017 Riva Ranch Vineyard Chardonnay, has particularly garnered effusive praise from experts and novices alike. It is specifically renowned for its complexity and the balance of rich, luscious fruit flavours with a refreshing acidity.

Visits to the winery offer more than just tastings, though. Wente's garden tours provide a unique glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of the winemaking process. Fascinatingly, a majority of the produce served at their on-site restaurant is sourced directly from their very own organic garden.

If you're seeking the ideal location to relish top-class wines amidst scenic views of nature, Wente Vineyards is your perfect destination. It promises to leave its visitors with an enduring memory that goes beyond the taste of its fine wines.
