Tasting Note

This has the wonderful, hedgerow fruit and savoury notes of a Cote de Beaune red Burgundy: rosehip, crab apple, medlar and sloe, with savoury hints of leather and roast lamb. In the mouth, both succulently fruity and completely dry, it has a nip of decidedly Burgundian tannin, masses of complex, dried herb, cured meat, truffle and dried mushroom notes, and fabulous palate length.

Product Notes

Viña San Pedro 1865 Tayu Pinot Noir is an exquisite Chilean wine, hailing from the Leyda Valley. Known for its intense ruby-red colour, this wine boasts complex and intriguing notes of cherry, strawberries, and spice along with subtle earthy undertones. Aged in French oak barrels, it exhibits impeccable balance between fruit and oak, bringing forth velvety tannins and a lengthy finish. The Tayu Pinot Noir offers impeccable structure, richness, and elegance, making it a fine addition to any wine connoisseur's collection. With its medium-bodied flavour profile, it pairs perfectly with game meats, earthy vegetables, and rich cheeses.
