Tasting Note

This is an intense garnet-red colour, with an intense and persistent bouquet of mulberries, plums, blueberries and blackcurrants with cherry hints. Incredibly fleshy and powerful texture, and thanks to its succinct fruit acidity, this Amarone Valpolicella Classico Riserva is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. A hint of cherry and almondy bitterness on the finish.

Product Notes

Emanating elegant refinement, Biscardo Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva is an Italian wine from the Veneto region. Showcasing a luscious, intense ruby red hue, the bouquet reveals firm black cherries, dark chocolate, and dried fruit, enshrined in spicy nuance. Utmost care in selecting grapes brings a flavour profile that is rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, yet remarkably balanced. It introduces the palate to a symphony of potent and persistent aromas, culminating in a long, supple finish. Maturation in oak barrels intensifies its character and integrity. An impressive wine, it's truly a delight for connoisseurs seeking depth and complexity.

About the Winery

Biscardo

Conceived in the verdant plains of Italy's Veneto, the Biscardo winery is something of an enigma in the world of wine. With a history spanning five generations, and 150 years, Biscardo is steeped in tradition and renowned for producing some of the finest wines in the region. This is, in no small part, due to their obsessively precise winemaking process, coupled with their unyielding commitment to maintaining the authenticity of every varietal they cultivate.

Perhaps one of Biscardo's defining features is their ability to balance innovation with tradition. The Biscardo Brothers - Maurizio and Martino, to be precise have gone to great lengths to incorporate innovative and sustainable methods of wine production. Paradoxically, this is done in sync with their unerring fidelity to familial and regional tradition. As such, each bottle of Biscardo wine does more than tantalize your taste buds, it tells a story of the land, and the family from which it originates.

From the ruby-red heart of their classic Amarone to the crisp, golden notes in their widely acclaimed Soave, Biscardo wines are rich in characteristic essences. The boutique winery's selections are both highly textured and intricate, embodying a complexity that hints at their meticulous approach to vinification. Crafted using a mix of both native and international grape varietals, every bottle from Biscardo is a testament to their passion for innovation and tradition, all bound together by the uniqueness of Italian terroir.

Whether you're an aficionado or a novice to the world of wine, Biscardo is a name to remember. They provide an exceptional array of wines that offer a delightful exploration of taste and aroma from an Italian perspective. And while the art of winemaking is an exacting science, to the Biscardo family. It's a labour of love – a passion fostered over many generations and mirroring the richness and diversity of the Italian landscape from which their craft has sprung.
