Tasting Note

The wine displays a brilliant pale straw colour. Aromas of yellow lemon skin and lime blossom interplay with lightly toasted brioche characters, subtle cinnamon and vanilla. The entry on the palate is vibrant with fresh sweet lime, roasted lemon, appealing chalkiness and the lightest note of ginger. The palate has a beautiful silky texture - testament to it being barrel aged on the lees – and a refreshingly dry finish.

Product Notes

Tokara Chardonnay is a prestigious South African wine boasting richly nuanced tasting notes. This elegant wine features a golden hue and refreshing acidity, with an intricate bouquet of ripe pear, quince and green apple. Undertones of lightly toasted cashew nuts underline the harmonious blend of oak and fruit. Mineral notes in the finish exhibit sophistication and age-worthiness. Aged in French oak barrels, its lingering aftertaste ensures a memorable drinking experience revealing both subtlety and complexity true to Chardonnay tradition. A wine of distinction, Tokara Chardonnay is perfect for occasion-worthy dinners or as an indulgent self-reward.
