Tasting Note

Vibrant and deep colours of red and purple commence this wine. Black plum, juicy blackberry and black olive are threaded with anise, graphite, and vanillin from the toasted barrel. Flavours of dried black plum and blackberry are complimented with a hint of black licorice. The wine has a freshness to it with texture and a graceful, fine grain tannin.

Product Notes

About the Winery

St. Supéry

Founded in 1982, St. Supéry Vineyards & Winery holds a prestigious position in the world of luxury wine production. This family-owned business is nestled amid the renowned vine-laden locales of Napa Valley, California. Boasting a rich heritage, the winery is currently overseen by the family’s third-generation proprietor, Emma Swain, who serves as the CEO.

The ownership of this magnificent establishment traces back to a French entrepreneur, Robert Skalli, famed for his tireless efforts to popularise varietal wine in France. Inspired by the charm of the Napa Valley, Skalli sought to replicate the centuries-old wine-making traditions of his homeland in these verdant Californian vineyards.

Today, St. Supéry prides itself on producing an exquisite selection of wines, mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, from its two idyllic vineyards, Dollarhide and Rutherford. Spanning a combined area of over 1500 acres, these two fertile sites deliver exceptional wines with pure expression. St. Supéry's reputation as a premier, sustainably operated winery is a testament to its insistence on meticulous vineyard management and uncompromising diligence in the craft of wine-making.

The invitation to visit the winery is an enticing prospect, offering visitors guided tours, wine tastings and enlightening interactive experiences that celebrate the art of wine-making. It's more than a destination, it's an enriching journey into Californian viticulture.
