Tasting Note

This is a classic mature English Blanc de Blancs with balance and elegance from start to finish. Blended predominantly from Chardonnay grapes with a careful addition of Pinot Blanc this is a crisp, refined and refreshing sparkling wine with aromas of English apples, pear and peach complemented by tertiary characters of almond and brioche. As it ages, it is developing a beautiful smooth creaminess and richness. Its fresh, lighter character would pair it well with seafood dishes such as oysters, crab salad, prawns, lightly smoked salmon or roasted chicken, risottos & sushi.

Product Notes

Albourne Estate Blanc de Blancs is a splendid English sparkling wine, exuding a delightfully delicate mélange of citrusy flavours. Originating from Sussex, it offers an exquisite blend of crispness and richness, with its refreshing acidity harmonising perfectly with its mellow creaminess. The palate teases with hints of green apple, lemon zest and toasted nuts, whilst also reflecting the chalky soil's unique minerality. This elegant wine boasts an expertly crafted balance, mirroring the careful nurturing of its hand-picked Chardonnay grapes. Albourne Estate Blanc de Blancs is a testament to quintessential English viticulture, promising a delightful drinking experience.
