Tasting Note

A vibrant and youthful style of Chardonnay with minimal oak influence this wine is fresh and light with a pleasing texture on the palate and distinctive minerality. With notable aromas of green apple and lemon zest on the nose, this is a classic example of a winemaking style with a ‘light oak touch’ in a cool-climate Chardonnay. Delicious for food pairing and will age well. We suggest grilled fish, risottos and creamy pasta dishes.

Product Notes

Albourne Estate Sandstone Ridge Chardonnay is a finely crafted, British white wine. It hails from the distinguished Albourne Vineyard in Sussex, nationally celebrated for their sustainable viticulture. This exceptional Chardonnay bears complex, layered flavours of rich citrus, toasted hazelnuts and butterscotch. The wine is further enhanced by a subtle vanilla oak influence, offering a wonderful roundness. A characteristic chalky minerality, derived from the vineyard's sandstone ridge, adds a unique dimension to the delicate acidity. Savour this outstanding wine's lingering finish and elegant balance. It is a delightful testament to the burgeoning reputation of English wines worldwide.
