Product Notes

Aurelio Settimo Barolo wine is a premium Italian wine, renowned for its exceptional refinement and elegance. Showcasing a deep garnet hue, this wine unfurls intricate flavours of cherry, rose petal, and truffle on the palate. Touches of tobacco and mint enlighten the robust tannic structure, leading to a persistent, harmonious finish. It exhibits an excellent ageing potential. Matured for at least three years in oak barrels, Aurelio Settimo Barolo manifests a synthesis of traditionalist approach and precision farming, reflecting the rich terroir of the Langhe region in Piedmont with utmost grace and profundity. A truly magnificent wine for discerning connoisseurs.

Tasting Notes

This wine is garnet red with bright orange highlights. Wood and liquorice stand out on the nose, though the vinous quality of the Nebbiolo grapes persists. Very soft on the mouth, thanks to the well-balanced tannins and the roundness of the vintage.

About the Winery

Aurelio Settimo

Situated in the heart of Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Northern Italy, the Aurelio Settimo winery crafts delectable wines that echo the harmony of the scenic Italian countryside and the rich tradition of family craftsmanship.

Founded in the early 1950s by Aurelio Settimo, an enterprising grape pioneer, the winery has been a synonymous symbol of the acclaimed Barolo wine for generations. The winery was later passed on to his daughter, Tiziana, who has skillfully preserved her father's legacy while integrating modern practices to further enhance their flavoursome creations. Notably renowned for their Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata variety, the wines from Aurelio Settimo boast a depth of flavour, subtlety and complexity that showcases the expertise poured into their creation.

The estate produces wines with a respect for the character of each vineyard plot, opting to undertake cultivation practices that are sustainable and considerate to the environment. Not only are the vines manually harvested to ensure quality control but the winemaking process also undergoes rigorous testing to maintain the integrity of the wines.

Spanning over 5 hectares, the vineyards of the Aurelio Settimo winery splendidly exhibit the grape varietals native to the parent region, Ponte, offering a treat for the wine enthusiasts who visit. Sunkissed slopes, intertwining vines, and the picturesque panorama of the Langhe creates a serene sanctuary for both its residents and visitors alike...

The captivating charm of the Aurelio Settimo winery lies not only in their exemplary wines but also in being a warm testament to the family's enduring passion for wine crafting. And, every sip of Aurelio Settimo wine entails a delightful journey traversing time, tradition, and terroir. The winery's wines vividly capture the authenticity of the Langhe region, emanating a timeless allure that fascinates wine connoisseurs, round the world.
