Tasting Note

Royal Oaks and King’s Wood were forests planted by monarchs to build cathedrals and navies. Long term planning. The beautiful old French oak in these giant foudre vessels is perfect for schooling and gently, gradually polishing and protecting the brightest and spiciest south facing Shiraz they grow on Yangarra.

Product Notes

Yangarra Estate Vineyard King's Wood Shiraz is a splendid Australian wine, hailing from McLaren Vale. With a deep ruby hue, this shiraz is a poetic blend of rich, concentrated dark fruits, presenting compelling flavours of blackberry, plum and dark cherry. Nuances of dark chocolate, coffee and spicy oak underscore its complexity. Its structure is robust, its tannins faint yet pronounced creating a grand balance. The finish is smooth and lengthy, evoking a warm sensation. An overall sophisticated, bold red wine that embodies the terroir it hails from. Ideal for those seeking enjoyment from an evocative, richly layered shiraz.
