Product Notes

Casa Ferreirinha Reserva Especial Douro Tinto is a sophisticated red wine from Portugal's Douro Valley. Its rich bouquet of ripe black fruits, spices and floral notes is underpinned by robust tannins and a well-integrated oakiness. With its deep ruby hue, the wine promises an elegant and balanced palate, featuring complex flavours that reflect the unique terroir of the region. This full-bodied wine is product of selective harvest and a blend of indigenous grape varieties, revealing the masterful craftsmanship of the winemaker. Highly regarded, it is an exemplary representative of Portugal's viniculture excellence.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby in colour. On the nose, intense aromas of dark fruit are married with spicy notes of pepper, cedar and tobacco box, menthol hints and a subtle slate-like minerality. Assertive yet elegant on the palate, with firm but velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity which carries the complex flavours onto the lingering and harmonious finish. A wine of great complexity, power and grace.
