Tasting Note

This garnet-colored wine stands out on the nose for its touches of ripe black fruit, such as plum and cherry, continuing with red paprika, saline notes, leather and wood. On the palate it has a soft and sweet entry, with silky tannins and hints of tobacco. It has a medium acidity that provides freshness thanks to the Syrah it contains, and has a long and persistent finish.

Product Notes

Cousiño Macul Finis Terrae Red Wine is a splendid Chilean blend, oozing with ripe, luscious berries and a hint of spice. It exhibits an inviting ruby hue, with the aroma of red fruits, chocolate, and vanilla teasing the senses. The palate is greeted with rich, complex flavours, boasting a perfect balance of acidity, tannins and silky textures. It finishes with lingering notes of oak and spice, creating a satisfying aftertaste. Aged expertly in French oak barrels, this red is a formidable companion to red meat or robust cheeses. An exquisite embodiment of Chile’s wine-making expertise.

About the Winery

Cousiño Macul

Nestled in the Chilean capital of Santiago, the Cousiño Macul winery is a sensational fusion of tradition and innovation. Founded in 1856, this vineyard is one of the few of its kind to remain in the continual ownership of the founding family. Cousiño Macul’s patrons can testify that each drop of wine savoured nowhere else but here is still closely watched over by direct descendants of original patriarch, Matías Cousiño.
