Product Notes

Di Costanzo Farella Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is an exemplary expression of Californian wine-making. This bold yet balanced Cabernet Sauvignon bears hallmark notes of ripe black fruits, distinct cassis, and hints of chocolate subtly underscored by traces of spicy oak. A myriad of complex flavours unfold across the palate, morphing into a luscious, full-bodied finish. Aged to perfection, this wine showcases remarkable structure and depth, a harmonious blend of tannin, acidity and alcohol. Its overall elegance makes the Di Costanzo Farella Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon an ideal partner for hearty meals, or enjoyed simply as an indulgent standalone drinking experience.

Tasting Notes

Deeply mineral with fabulous precise dark fruit aromas that unfurl to reveal layers of smoke, stones and violets, the volcanic soils evident on the nose but also the palate as a ripe but mineral tannic framework supports notes of olive, dark berry fruit, dark cherry and chocolate. There’s a layer of mid palate richness here that buffers the powerful mineral side beautifully while the finish is long and nuanced. Cool, precise, dark and mineral – this is another top release from di Costanzo, and an excellent successor to the stunning 2013 and 2014 releases
