Tasting Note

Bright and clean appearance. Pale straw yellow colour with green reflections. Intense varietal aromas of white fruit such as pear and apple, combined with citrus notes of grapefruit and hints of stone fruit, notably peach. On the palate, it is fresh and well-balanced, with good structure and a subtle creamy texture from lees ageing. Long, aromatic and persistent finish, with delicate bitter and mineral notes reflecting the variety and the terroir.

Astobiza Txakolina is an exquisite wine from the Basque region of northern Spain. It possesses a lively, straw-yellow hue with green iridescence and displays aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers. On the palate, its notable acidity is elegantly balanced with a trace of natural carbonic fizz, typical of a traditional Txakolina. It has a prolonged finish that leaves a refreshing aftertaste. Made primarily from the Hondarrabi Zuri grape variety, this wine is perfect for pairing with seafood and light dishes. Astobiza Txakolina truly encapsulates the unique character of Basque wines.
