About Blackbird Vineyards

Established in 1995, Blackbird Vineyards is a distinguished boutique winery, nestled within the iconic Napa Valley in California. The name “Blackbird” is inspired by the vineyard’s history as a former olive grove, fondly known as an “orchard of blackbirds” in the local dialect.

Sprawled over a landscape of 10 acres, Blackbird Vineyards has an incredible terroir that contributes to its reputation for producing exceptional limited-production wine. The vineyard has been artfully crafted and managed to focus on growing Merlot, a grape with the distinction of adapting well to the estate’s clay and gravel soils.

With an unyielding commitment to quality, their handcrafted wines have received critical acclaim. Among their popular offerings are the ‘Arise’, the 'Paramour', and the 'Illustration' bottles all three of which have the Merlot grape as their foundation. Yet each one presents unique and tantalising flavours that cater to a wide range of tastings.

The vineyard takes pride in creating not just wine, but an exclusive experience that’s memorable for the visitors. Tastings are available by appointment only, ensuring an intimate and personalised encounter with their splendid wines.

The Blackbird Vineyards ethos goes beyond the vineyard, seeking sustainability in everything they do. The energy used by the vineyard comes from renewable and non-renewable resources alike. Their state-of-the-art facility is equipped with a water treatment plant for recycling and reusing water and their farming practices are certified by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance.

An undeniable destination for connoisseurs and collectors alike, Blackbird Vineyards offers both taste and sustainability in its brilliant wines. Their wines are striking notes of sophistication and elegance for those who savour, the artistry of a well-crafted wine.
