About Poliziano
Founded in the late 1960's by Dino Carletti, the Poliziano winery is situated in the heart of Montepulciano region in Tuscany, Italy. The name pays homage to native Renaissance poet Angelo Ambrogini, affectionately known as "Il Poliziano". Carletti's dream materialised with his first purchase of 22 hectares of land and today, Poliziano spans over 120 hectares of vineyard, producing top quality wines.
The winery is currently under the stewardship of Carletti's son, Federico who shares his father's enthusiasm and passion for winemaking. Federico has put in a lot of effort, introducing innovative techniques to improve the quality of the wines, while maintaining respect for tradition and the characteristics of the vineyard terroir.
Poliziano is famed for their red wines, especially the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, a masterpiece made primarily from the Prugnolo Gentile grape that seamlessly blends modernity and tradition. Other excellent wines include the Rosso di Montepulciano and the Asinone. These wines are witness to Poliziano's commitment to expressing the personality of their territory through their wines.
