Subtle hints of pepper round out the taste of this big and bold zinfandel. Grapes for this wine are selected from premier Zinfandel growing areas in Sonoma County, including Dry Creek Valley. In these AVAs, warm temperatures and unique soils create ideal conditions to grow intensely flavoured Zinfandel grapes. The 2013 growing season began early in Sonoma County, with consistent warm, dry weather leading the way to an early harvest. The steady conditions resulted in excellent colour and flavour intensity.
