Terrasses du Larzac

The Terrasses du Larzac wine is a gem originating from the sunny terrains of the Languedoc-Roussillon region in France. This region beams with history and tradition, offering up a stunning landscape that’s alive with rugged hills, limestone terraces, and ancient stone villages. Its stunning natural backdrop contributes to the profound, unique character of the Terrasses du Larzac wine.

Inducted as an independent AOC (Appellation d'origine contrôlée) in 2014, Terrasses du Larzac has cemented its position among other prestigious French wine-growing regions. The wines are principally blends, primarily featuring the Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre varietals. These are supplemented with Carignan and Cinsault, providing an extra layer of complexity to the flavour profile.

A sip of Terrasses du Larzac wine greets the palate with vibrant flavours and rich, full-bodied textures. The intrinsic qualities of the local terroir present themselves through aromatic scores of ripe red fruits, subtle spice, and hints of the wild herbs that freely grow in the region, known as ‘garrigue’. A reflection of its Mediterranean climate and the cool mountain breezes sweeping down from the Larzac plateau, the wine strikes harmonious balance between a pleasant freshness and formidable structure.

Its reputation is growing internationally, increasingly drawing the attention of serious wine lovers and connoisseurs.
