A serious expression of Monastrell with notes of lavender, rockrose, scrub, holm oak and Mediterranean pines. The fruit and mountainous notes come first, then subtle oak accompanies and gives complexity for a magnificent mouthfeel which is long and balanced.

Pepe Mendoza El Veneno is an exquisite Spanish wine from the Alicante region. With a luscious blend of Monastrell, Syrah, and Alicante Bouschet grapes, it boasts an intoxicating depth of flavour. Its rich and full-bodied base is perfectly counterbalanced by playful hints of dark fruit and spice, whilst its robust, well-rounded finish is incredibly gratifying. Aged in French oak barrels, El Veneno imparts a subtle smokiness that enriches its remarkable complexity. This organic and biodynamic wine not only delights the senses, but with its eco-conscious production techniques, it truly is a guilt-free indulgence.
